Jack Breaks Out
Education • News
The Founding Documents of The United States of America are the most powerful ever written, for the people.

The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution changed the world, but few have ever heard of The Articles of Confederation or The Land Ordinances of 1784 & 1785.

We will dive into the Founding Documents, The Founding Fathers and hopefully discover all the massive powers and protections, for The People, we have overlooked.  Many key pieces were hidden in plain sight.

MOVING LOCALS TO SUBSTACK & YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO OR CHANGE ANYTHING!!!

SUBSTACK MOVE = YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO OR CHANGE ANYTHING!!!

PLEASE READ👇
⚡ULTIMATE GUIDE:
Hey everyone, Jack here with a vital update regarding our move from Locals to Substack. This message is to explain how the move will work, how we are protecting your wallet, and exactly how to log into our brand new home: Jack Breaks History.

While we are changing platforms, our core billing system, STRIPE, will remain exactly the same. Stripe is the secure system that processes your payments, and because both Locals and Substack use it, Stripe allows me to safely migrate your billing accounts from Locals to Substack without you having to lift a finger. You won't need to create a new account on Substack from scratch because the transfer is entirely automatic.
Here is exactly how this works, what I am doing to protect you, and how the new login system works:

🛑 PART 1: The Billing Transition (You Don't Need to Lift a Finger)
The biggest questions you probably have are:
"Will I need to create a new Substack account?" No—your current login email for Locals will work seamlessly for Substack. More details on how to log in are right below.
"Will I have to enter my credit card information on Substack?" No, Stripe already securely holds that data for Locals, and your payment information migrates automatically with your account. The only change you'll notice in the future is that your monthly subscription charge will say "Substack" instead of "Locals." That's it.
"Will I be double-charged by both websites?" The answer is an absolute NO. I am going directly into our old creator dashboard and manually disabling and deactivating all subscription renewals on Locals. This completely cuts off Locals from charging your card ever again. You do not need to hunt down a cancellation button or call your bank. I am turning off the Locals billing machine myself. Substack will be the only charge you see instead of Locals every month moving forward. Your regular monthly renewal date stays exactly the same.

🔑 PART 2: How to Log In (No Password Needed!)
Because Substack is a highly modern platform, the login process is going to look a little different than what you are used to. You do not need to create, remember, or type in a password to use this new site. Instead, the platform uses a highly secure system called a "Magic Link" to verify your identity.

🔓Your First Time Logging In:
Go to our new website on your computer or phone:
https://substack.com/@jackbreakshistory
Look at the top right-hand corner of the screen and click the button that says "Sign In".
Type in the exact same email address you used to support me here on Locals.
The website will tell you that a secure link has been sent to your email.
Open Your Email Inbox:
Open your regular email inbox (like Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook) in a separate tab or on your phone.
Look for an email from Substack titled "Sign in to Substack" or "Your Jack Breaks History Login Link".
Open that email and click the big blue button inside that says "Sign in to Substack".
The moment you click that button in your email, your web browser will instantly recognize you as a paid member. Our live video player, text articles, and community chat rooms will be completely unlocked.

🔄 How to Access the Show in the Future
On Your Current Laptop/Computer: As long as you don't clear your internet history, your computer will remember you. You can just type in ://substack.com and you will stay permanently logged in.

😮If You Ever Get Logged Out:
If you buy a new tablet, use a different computer, or get logged out accidentally, just repeat the steps above. Click "Sign In," type your email, and click the link sent to your inbox. It takes 10 seconds and you’ll never have to worry about forgetting a password again.

🔒Optional Password Creation: While a password is never required because of the Magic Link, you can absolutely create a traditional password if you don't want to rely on opening your email inbox every time you log back in. To set one up, use the Magic Link to log in one first time, then click your Profile Icon in the top right corner, select Settings, look for the account security section, and click "Set a password". Once created, you can log into the site using your standard email and password whenever you want.

⚡What You Need to Do Next on Locals:
Since I am turning off the automated billing on this page, you do not need to manually cancel your subscription. Your paid subscription and account will migrate automatically to Substack.
🚦However, if you no longer plan to use the Locals app or website to follow other creators, you are completely free to delete or cancel your personal Locals account entirely. That is 100% up to you!

⏳ Giving Everyone Time to Move (The 30-Day Window)
I know some of our members only log in once or twice a month. To make sure absolutely no one gets left behind, I am keeping this Locals page active for the next month. This page will remain open as a guidepost, and this ultimate guide will stay permanently pinned to the top of this Locals homepage for the next 30 days.

Take your time, read the steps, and join me over at https://substack.com/@jackbreakshistory.

Our live shows will be Mondays and Thursdays at 7:15pm Est.

If you have any questions or concerns at all please email me at:
[email protected] or [email protected]

Our new history vault is officially open and I look forward to continuing this journey with you all!
